You're the person she needs when it matters. Let's make sure you feel ready for it.

You're about to experience something extraordinary. You're becoming a parent for the first time or witnesses the growth of your family , and you'll have an incredibly important role to play in the birth of your baby.

You want to be there for her. You want to know what she needs, how to help her feel safe, how to support her through the intensity of labour and how to help her feel heard, respected and cared for.

You might already have a good idea of what a doula brings, but perhaps you're still wondering exactly how we'll work together, where your role fits alongside mine and how having me there will enhance your experience, too.

I'm not here to take your place. I'm here to help you enhance it,  to help you feel confident, prepared and supported, and to make sure you have an important place at the centre of her birth team.

Creating your dream team

As one of Berkshire and Hampshire's highest-rated and most experienced doulas, I've seen first-hand, time and time again, just how powerful great teamwork can be during birth.

When you work with me, we're creating a multi-skilled dream team where every role matters. From clinical expertise and physical safety to emotional and psychological wellbeing, we each bring something valuable to the experience.

My approach is all about collaboration. We each have our own skills, knowledge and expertise, with clearly defined roles that complement one another. By working together, we create a strong, connected team that supports you both, so you can feel confident, cared for and fully supported throughout your birth experience.

Knowing and loving someone doesn't automatically mean knowing how to support them through birth

There is something incredibly special about the relationship between a woman giving birth and the person she loves.

You know her. You know what makes her laugh, what reassures her, when she needs a hug and when she needs a little space. You know the things that make her feel safe.

And during labour, those things matter enormously, but knowing and loving someone doesn't automatically mean knowing how to support them through birth.

Questions birth partners want answered

You're her person. I'll be in your corner.

You bring the love, the connection and the relationship. I'll bring the experience, knowledge and practical support to help you be the birth partner you want to be.

Together, we're a team.

Let's get to know one another to see if i am the right doula to join your birth dream team

"We leaned on her straight away. We sent her the information from the doctors and she came back with clear guidance including our options, our rights and the actual statistics behind what we were being told. That gave us the confidence to ask the right questions and make decisions that felt right for us and go back and have a more informed conversation with the senior doctors. It made a huge difference in moments where things felt uncertain."

"As a husband of a midwife, I thought I knew a reasonable amount about 'birth' but I was very quick to understand I only had a very surface level of knowledge. Nicole took us through everything from supporting your wife physically and mentally, management of pain, advocating for baby and partner in a medically dominated field, implementing therapies, space management and preparing for all eventualities."

"I was a bit skeptical about getting a Doula to start with as I didn't really understand the concept - but after the first intro call with Nicole I was convinced. Since then the education, support and advocacy provided has been invaluable to us. Nicole helped prepare and guide us through a process and healthcare system that would have tripped us up time and time again"

"From both my side as the father and my wife Hannah's side, Nicole was absolutely incredible to work with in the weeks leading up to the birth and on the day of the birth itself in terms of supporting us both. We would highly recommend her and would definitely work with her again."

"We faced numerous obstacles from the hospital and doctors before and during labour and Nicole’s exceptional skills allowed her to decipher and explain complex information, ensuring that we had the necessary knowledge to make informed decisions. This was especially crucial as we were two weeks overdue, facing pressure from the NHS to induce labour without a clear clinical reason. Nicole helped us stay calm and composed, guiding us through and preventing us from being rushed into making decisions without proper consideration.

"Nicole was a God-send for us. End to end throughout our pregnancy journey, she gave us the tools and confidence to pursue the birth we wanted. And when labour came, Nicole was the remarkable friend, support and ally that the two of us needed.

"Absolutely would recommend
Nicole is knowledgeable, experienced and most importantly a fantastic person.
She supported my wife and I to have a beautiful home birth. With great preparation and the right mind set and tools.

Thank you for everything Nicole.

"I was initially sceptical, but within the first 30 minutes, I was completely drawn in. Nicole has a remarkable way of blending practical advice and real-life applications with the scientific research and data that support them.

Nicole is truly exceptional, and I wholeheartedly recommend her Hypnobirthing course to any parent - whether they're expecting or already navigating parenthood.

"As a birthing partner I was unsure whether or not I should be on Nicole’s hypnobirthing course and I’m so glad I did!
This is our first child so I didn’t have a clue where to look or what to do but now it’s a different story!"

Feel confident navigating the birth room

One of the things I bring to our work together is a real understanding of how maternity care works behind the scenes, as well as the experience of supporting over 100 families through their births.

You don't need to become an expert in NHS guidelines, clinical interventions or hospital policies. But understanding a little more about how the system works can make a huge difference to how confident and prepared you feel when you're in the birth room.

Having supported more than 100 families, I've seen first-hand how valuable it is to understand what's being recommended, why it's being recommended and what options may be available. Birth doesn't always go to plan, and sometimes decisions need to be made quickly. Having the knowledge and confidence to understand those conversations can make all the difference.

We'll explore common interventions, the evidence behind different approaches, consent and informed decision-making. We'll also look at the questions you can ask to help you understand what's happening, what the options are and whether there's time to consider them.

This isn't about challenging your midwife, questioning every recommendation or putting you in the position of making clinical decisions. It's about helping you feel comfortable being part of the conversation, supporting your partner's wishes and knowing when to ask for more information or clarification.

You don't need to know more than the professionals. You just need to feel informed, confident and able to play an active part in the decisions and conversations surrounding your baby's birth.
